I Bought This Vehicle Used Through A Certified ford Dealership Where My Father Works And I Had Bought All My Previous Cars In April 2012. It Only Had One Previous Owner, No Major History And Was Completely Upgraded By The Previous Owner. I Had It Completely Checked Out, Had The Tranny Flushed, Twice, And All Seemed Okay. No Warranty Of Any Kind Was Available Due To ford Policy… Supposedly. I Moved To Texas In June Of 2012 And It Did Okay. Then One Day, In September, I Had My Husband And Children In The Suv And All Of Sudden It Just Started Acting Strange, Wouldn’t Speed Up, The Rpm’s Would Go Crazy, The Noise Sounded Horrible And Then It Just Stopped Moving. Luckily We Were Just Heading Out Of Town And Not Yet On The Major Highway. We Got It Moved To A Service Station And Had To Call Our Insurance Company To Tow Our Vehicle To A ford Dealership. We Had To Wait More Than An Hour For A Ride Home. We Were Now Without A Vehicle In A New State. I Was Told That The Only Fix Was To Replace The Transmission. I Put $4000 Down On This Vehicle, Financed The Rest And Spent The Rest Of Our Savings To Move From Ne To Tx. I Had No Extra Cash To Spend $4000 To Fix It. I Was Told To Let The Bank Take It And Get Another Vehicle. I Had To Come Up With $1000 Down And Get A Lower Quality Vehicle And Have The Bank Take It Back. They Sold It At Auction For Only $4000 So We Still Owe $13000! I Had The Vehicle For Only 5 Months And Because Of A ford Problem I Owe $13000?!?!?! This Is Not Right. I Have Been A Loyal ford Girl And ford Mechanic’s Daughter My Entire Life And This Is What I Get?! I Want To Know What Can Be Done Or What ford Will Do About This. I’m Broke And My Credit Destroyed Because Of This. I Don’t Like How Everyone Sues People But I Am Ready To Sue! Ugh!! I Just Want Answers And Results!!!!!!! *tr

Noticed A Smell From Engine Area. Noticed Coolant Was Really Low, Added Coolant And Observed Major Leak Under Engine. I Had To Have The Truck Towed To The Dealer. Repair Notes From ford: Inspected And Found Coolant Leak Coming From Lower Heater Hose Has Fallen On Right Side Exhaust And Melted Hole In Side Of Hose – Replaced Heater Hose And Rechecked For Leaks. Part Replaced 1 6l2z*18c553*c Hose – This Part Failed And Cost Me $481 To Fix. I Have Seen Other People Post They Are Experiencing The Same Problem, But So Far ford Is Not Repairing At No Charge Under Recall Or Service Bulletin And Should Be.

The Ignition Switch Is On The Steering Column. My Knee Touched The Key In The Ignition Switch And The Engine Stopped Running. All Power,(steering, Brakes, Forward Motion), Were Immediately Lost. This Has Happened On Numerous Occasions Since Then. There Are Other Issues, Which All Seem To Be Related To The Ignition Switch. My Local Dealer Said There Are No Tech Bulletins Or Recalls Related To This Issue.

I Purchased My Car Used In 2008 With Less Than 10,000.00 Miles On It. The Radiator Had To Be Sealed Two Years Ago Due To Crack. It Is Now Leaking Coolant Again, And The Thermostat Housing Unit Has To Be Replaced. After Researching Online, It Appears That This Is A Common Issue With The 2007explorer. I’m Not Sure Why A Recall Has Yet To Be Issued. Over 300 Complaints Online, And No Recall. Something Needs To Be Done.

Engine Stopped Running For No Reason Was Able To Turn Off Of Major Highway On To Side Street. Let Unit Set For Several Minutes And Was Able To Get Restarted. Went Several Blocks And Engine Stalled Again. Let Set Again And Was Able To Drive Home About Two Miles Without Any More Problems . Next Day Engine Stalled Again, Resarted And Was Able To Return Home Without Stalling.unit Was Then Towed To Repair Shop For Service Where They Did Not Find Any Trouble Codes And Were Not Able To Get Unit To Repeat Problem By Warming Engine And Driving A Number Of Times. I have a 2007 Fort explorer has an issues with all lights on dashboard going on, not even 50 ft when starting driving, all the lights will go in And out and the head lights are flickering like not getting enough power, has new alternator, its setting the power locks After stoping on a red light, if I roll my window down the radio goes out and ABS light will come on, two dealerships can’t find the issue I believe is the engine control module
